Hannah went on her first trip to TN this weekend to visit Matt's family. She did great in the car on the way there. She stopped once to eat and then we were back on the road again. Matt says she liked it better when he went faster...we kept it safe. Once we were there, she had a lot of visitors come and see her. Unfortunately, she was a little overwhelmed and out of her element for the first time so she was more fussy than normal. I think each time will be easier for her and us. We didn't realize our car was small until we packed it for this trip. The trunk was full and nursing in the backseat during our pitstop was a little challenging. I'm ready to be a minivan mom...Matt doesn't like that idea. :)

Meanwhile, back in South Carolina our poor little boys, Mike and Wally were left home alone....seriously. I scheduled a petsitter last Wednesday, a sweet girl from our church youth comes and lets them out and plays with them twice a day. Well, when we got home everything was as we had left it, including the money on the kitchen counter. Our petsitter had forgotten and we had not reminded her or even checked in on them like we normally do. Mike and Wally, the little troopers, toughed it out all weekend together. Luckily, they just needed a good potty out in the yard and a big dinner. They were very glad for us to be home. We felt like awful parents for not even thinking about them all weekend and not calling to check in on them. We learned our lesson for sure.
We decided last night to put Hannah in her big girl crib. It was bittersweet, we enjoyed her sleeping near us and hearing every little movement and gurgle but it was time. She slept great and I think we slept a little better too. She's growing up so fast, a part of me wishes she would stay this little forever.

Oh how sweet! What a trooper she is. I can only imagine how Hannah must have felt what with all the new faces and surroundings. But life goes on and they cannot stay little forever. She is indeed growing up so fast. Both of you are extraordinary parents! Love to you all...
