Baby cold

Hannah is sick with her second little baby cold. We think it's because of her teething that she has the cold. Her new tooth has been troublesome to me also, I will spare you the details...you might get the hint. ;) So we have also started weaning, very slowly. I'm also planning her first, 1st birthday party (we're having one with my family and one with Matt's family, since everyone can't come to SC at one time) for next weekend. So I'm a little tired and busy and trying not to get too stressed. The theme of her party is SIMPLE haha. Seriously, it's a cook out with quite a bit of family, but the menu and decor is very simple....burgers and pink. Well it's not that simple, but you get the idea. So that's what we're up to this week.
Here are some pics of Hannah in the pool last week.

Our little WHO girl in the water

Finally I have a picture of her sleeping (I'm always scared I'll wake her up), this is her new position to take naps.

Hannah at 10 1/2 months

One word to describe Hannah at this age is FUNNY. Matt and I laugh at her so much right now and pretty much anyone else she encounters while she's out and about. Matt has taught her this squinty face, which I have yet to capture perfectly on film. She knows that when she makes this face we will laugh. She also loves to clap when she's done something she thinks is good. We started "giving her a round of applause", as Matt would say, after we washed her hair (which she had started to cry about) so now after the water is poured over her head, instead of crying she smiles and claps. It is too cute.

She is cutting her second tooth, so she's been a little whiny the past few days. She will basically only eat squash and cheerios and a few bites of other things right now. She did this with her last tooth. Despite my efforts to feed her food I make, she wants to eat out of a jar. So I put MY food in a jar and she will usually eat it. Except last night and she protested "NAY NAY NAY" while I tried to feed her. I think that's German for NO.

Hannah in the new pool (a step up from the rubbermaid container), without water. She was playing music for us while Matt washed the cars.

Somewhat squinty face

This is what I call "Hannah's Chocolate Pudding" Recipe: Yogurt, Blueberries, and Prunes!!

YUMM!

Matt asked that I take off the picture of the Mother's Day poem/picture he made. It was too personal to put on the blog and I agree. It was just a really sweet part of my first Mother's day!

In case you haven't seen the trailer for this new movie here it is:

It looks so cute and interesting to see how different cultures raise their babies.

Standing up

Hannah has a slight disadvantage when it comes to standing up....tiny feet (still size 1) and a pleasantly plump body :) But she's doing really well propping up on objects. She will stand at this window all day if she could. Every now and then a little bird or some other creature will stop by and entertain her. Looking at these pictures makes her seem too little to be standing up.

This is not the best picture, but I just had to point out these rolls on the back of her leg (which she will hate me one day for) and if you look close you can see her sweet smile in the reflection of the window.
