Last Thursday Hannah had her 6-8 week checkup which included 4 vaccines. YIKES! She was a little fussy as she always is at the doctor. We were there with all the back to school kids, who were getting their checkups and shots before school started back. There was a lot of screaming going on. Hannah emptied her bladder on me as I transferred her from the scale back to the table. My shirt was soaked and I ended up not leaving the Dr. for another hour and a half so it had dried by the time I got home....gross! Sweet little girl didn't mean to, Matt really got a kick out of it, at least it wasn't from the other end. Hannah is up to 11 lbs 4 oz which puts her in 80 percentile for her weight and she had grown 2 inches, 25 percentile for her height ( a little lopsided), the doctor said she was "fluffy". :) This means I don't have to wake her up for night time feedings. Some nights she does go longer than 5 hours but there is no pattern here yet.
Doc says this flu season is going to be a doozy (She said kids already have the flu now (more than normal) and when they get to school and share germs and then take those germs home it will be more widespread). So we were advised to each get flu shots which is something we don't normally do. We will be limiting her outings also when the time comes, because she is too young to get a shot this year. We're praying that God will keep all of us healthy, flu shots are not a guarantee.
